So I did it. I made my list of 100 things about me. Writing my list was cathartic and helped me get to know myself better just by what came to my mind so quickly. I was actually surprised by how fast they came to me and I think I could've kept going for a while (but I'll spare you that). So here's a little snap shot of me.- My middle name is Dee.
- I have a wonderful husband and 3 great kids.
- I love Romeo and Juliet, the play, ballet, movies, everything.
- I want to like seafood, but I just don't.
- I was in beauty pageants as a toddler and young child. I remember it as a special bonding time with my Mom.
- I hate "sleep training" my children, but am so glad when its over. I don't want them to have my sleep problems and I love the regular naps and 7 o'clock bed time.
- I have insomnia, restless leg syndrome, and need complete silence to stay asleep (so I use ear plugs and an eye mask on Saturdays - my sleep in day).
- I feel guilty about my sleep in day, but look forward to it all week.
- In the past I always wanted to be older than I was, but now that I'm almost 30 I don't feel that way any more.
- I have 2 sisters and 1 brother.
- I am the baby of my family. My nearest sibling is almost 8 years older than me. I was a surprise.
- I miss my family.
- It breaks my heart that my children are not growing up close to their grandparents.
- I hate flying and had a panic attack and felt like I couldn't breathe the last time I flew.
- I love snow covered mountains, warm sandy CA beaches, and tall leafy Eastern trees.
- My bridal bouquet was a beautiful ball of cream colored roses and weighed over 15 pounds. My arms were sore for days.
- I worked as a bank teller. I love the musty smell of money, and got such satisfaction out of balancing my till to the penny every evening.
- I was an art history major. I still dream about darkened classrooms and clicking slides.
- I started out as a sociology major, but sucked at statistics.
- I was awarded a scholarship, for being a promising student in art history, that I didn't apply for, by the art history faculty at BYU. I had to give up the scholarship to go on bed rest while pregnant.
